- 31 is a prime
- 331 is a prime
- 3331 is a prime
- 33331 is a prime
- 333331 is a prime
- 3333331 is a prime
- 33333331 is a prime
But what about 33333331? Is it a prime?
It turns out not to be, because we have
17 × 19607843 = 33333331
It follows that we can never trust a pattern just because it looks like it might continue!
Very interesting sir.
