  • 33331 is a prime
  • 333331 is a prime
  • 3333331 is a prime
  • 33333331 is a prime

But what about 33333331? Is it a prime?

It turns out not to be, because we have

17 × 19607843 = 33333331

It follows that we can never trust a pattern just because it looks like it might continue!
